01Who we are
IFNUX SAS (“Ifnux”, “we”, “us”) is an independent software studio based in Montevideo, Uruguay. We make the iPhone apps Subí and Gym (the “Apps”) and run this website, ifnux.com (the “Site”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use them. You can reach us at support@ifnux.com.
02We don’t collect your data
We don’t run servers that receive data from the Apps, and there are no user accounts with us. The Apps contain no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking software. We don’t sell, rent or share personal data — there is nothing to share. We don’t track you across apps or websites owned by other companies, and the Apps never ask for permission to do so.
Because the Apps do their work on your device, some features contact other services directly, as described below. Those services receive only what they need to answer the request and, like any server on the internet, your device’s IP address. Their own privacy policies apply.
03Subí
Location
Subí uses your location on your device to show nearby stops and buses, estimate walking time, tell you when to get off and keep the lines to your destination up to date. It uses location in the background only while you have an active trip, an arrival alert, or are following the lines to a destination (for up to 60 minutes). iOS shows the location indicator while this happens, and it stops automatically. Your location is never sent to us or to transit services. You can change location access at any time in iOS Settings.
What stays on your device
Favorites, Home and Work, search history, saved trips, stops and lines, alerts and preferences are stored only on your device, in storage shared with Subí’s own widgets. You can remove them in the app or by deleting it.
Services Subí contacts
- Live bus positions. Requested directly from the public STM service of the Intendencia de Montevideo. The request includes only which lines to show — no location and no identifier.
- Schedules and routes. Subí updates its on-device database about once a week (you can turn this off in Ajustes → Horarios → “Actualizar solo”) or when you tap “Actualizar”. It downloads public open data from the Intendencia de Montevideo, the Ministry of Transport and Public Works (MTOP) and community-maintained sources such as colonia-gtfs, hosted on GitHub and Google Cloud. No personal data is sent.
- Maps and place search. Subí uses Apple Maps (MapKit). What you type in search, and the map area being searched, are processed by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Notifications, Live Activities and widgets
Alerts, Live Activities and widgets are generated on your device from schedules and live positions. Subí doesn’t use push notifications and doesn’t store notification tokens.
Siri and Shortcuts
If you use Siri or Shortcuts with Subí, Apple processes your request under its own privacy policy; Subí only receives the resulting action on your device.
04Gym
Without an account
Everything you create — routines, workouts, weights, history and settings — is stored only on your device.
With your gym account (optional)
If your gym gives you a member account, you can sign in to download the routine your coach assigned:
- Your email and password are sent only to your gym, over an encrypted connection, to sign you in. Gym does not store your password.
- Your session is kept in the iOS Keychain on this device only. It is not synced to your other devices.
- When you sign in, Gym also sends your gym a random identifier for this installation, created by the app. It is not your device’s hardware or advertising identifier, and it is erased when you delete the app.
- Gym downloads your assigned routine, the sessions you’ve completed, exercise videos and images, and your gym’s locations.
Sync only downloads: workouts you log in Gym are not uploaded anywhere. Your gym handles your member data under its own privacy policy; Ifnux never receives it. Signing out (Settings → Account → Sign out) deletes your session from this device.
Backups
Settings → Data → Export backup creates a file with your Gym data and opens the share sheet. Where you save or send it is up to you.
Notifications
Rest-timer notifications are scheduled locally on your device.
05This website
ifnux.com is a static website. It uses no cookies, analytics, trackers, third-party fonts or embedded content. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses and request details to deliver and protect the Site, under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. We don’t use that data to identify you.
06If you email us
If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply and help you, and we delete it when it’s no longer needed, or sooner if you ask. Our email is hosted by Google Workspace.
07Children
The Apps are suitable for all ages and collect no personal data from anyone, including children.
08Security
With no servers or accounts on our side, there is no central database of user data to breach. Connections made by the Apps use HTTPS, and your Gym session is protected by the iOS Keychain. Keeping your device secure — a passcode and current software — protects the data stored on it.
09Your rights
Depending on where you live — for example under Uruguay’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 18.331, the EU or UK GDPR, or California privacy laws — you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data.
Since we hold no personal data from the Apps, your data is on your device and under your control: you can delete it in the Apps or by deleting them. For data held by your gym or another service, contact them directly. For anything else, including messages you’ve sent us, write to support@ifnux.com and we’ll respond. In Uruguay you can also contact the data protection authority, the Unidad Reguladora y de Control de Datos Personales (URCDP).
10International transfers
We are based in Uruguay. Services the Apps and the Site rely on — such as Apple, Cloudflare, Google or your gym — may process data in other countries under their own safeguards.
11Changes
If we change how the Apps handle information, we’ll update this page and the effective date above before the change applies. If a change is significant, we’ll also mention it in the app’s release notes.
